For the past 5 years I've been straightening my hair, it's layered, thick, and wavy and while I'd like to keep my wavy hair, it never falls in a way that looks good regardless of what I do. However, I've been considering the fact that I flat iron my hair 3-4 times a week, and while I do take great care not to repair and prevent damage it seems like it would be better in the long run to get my hair chemically straightened. It would be a shock to my hair, I know. But I figure that since I wouldn't be doing as often, that it would be better.
So my questions are; Which would be better for me in the long run Chemical Straightening or to keep using a flat iron? Would my hair still be soft and silky like usual after getting it chemically straightened or would it become course and stiff? How often do you have to get your hair redone after chemically straightening?
Also, I fully intend on getting it done by a professional if I go with the chemical option, I'm not confident in do-it-yourself methods when it comes to my hair.Chemically Straightening VS Flat Iron?
chemical straightening destroys your hair but then again so does flat irons.
have you heard of the 12 week blowdry?
its a keratain tratment, you can get it done in a salon,
its conditions your hair leaving it soft and sleek,
everytime you wash your hair for 12 weeks after, then blowdry it luks like youve had your hair done in a salon, and there is no need to use straightners,
