Okay, get some straightening shampoo and conditioner first off, I recommend ';Dangerously Straight'; by Herbal Essences (they most likely have it there, very cheap too) and the rest of the products that go with it, they help straighten, keep straight, and keep it from damaging your hair. Also even if it is already dry, blow dry hair, I find when I do this before I straighten my hair it loosens it up so it straightens much easier. And if you bathe at night, straighten it after you dry your hair, then do a touch up in the morning. Hairspray is a must. When straightening your hair seperate the bottom and top of your head right across the middle with a clip or rubber-band, start with the bottom layer, straighten about two inch wide pieces at a time (straighten it slowly, the heat needs time to loosen the hair) and as soon as it is completely straight (may take a few slow tries), spray it. When you are done withe the bottom layer, tie it in the back as low as you possibly can (don't tie it too tightly, will leave a dent in the hair) then let the top layer loose and repeat the steps for the bottom layer. When done straightening and after you let the bottom layer loose, spray a little more and then gently comb through to get rid of the stickiness of the hairspray (it will still hold you hair though) then ta-da! You should have straight hair that will last for around 10 hours.

PS. You may also want to get the ';None of Your Frizzness'; Leave-In Creme, also by Herbal Essences, will help with your frizz problem. Put Creme after you straighten hair, just mist it though, otherwise you'll curl, then comb through.

And even if it seems like it's taking forever, it sounds like you have some massive curls, I do not have curly hair (it's wavy), but one of my friends has very, very, very, curly hair and it takes her on average around 2 hours to straighten her hair. So don't get frustrated if it takes a long time!

Hope I helped!!Need help in straightening hair with a flat iron...PLZ HELP!?
Product will help you SO much! Unfortunately I don't know what brands are available in India, but look for: a heat protector (flat iron spray, balm, etc.), and a humidity resistant hairspray to finish the style. Take small sections and pull the flat iron slooowly over the section - more than once if you have to.
am also from india...but mine hair type is quite silky and staight so i've never tried any such products but i've heard that rebonding do works!

if you really wanna have staight hair go for rebonding.....this is a permanent straightening treatment which lasts for around 2 years..

you can get more information by the beauty parlour
hi, i could understand how you feel ! 'cos i too go crazy for straight shiny hair. anyway watch the video link below.

Once you've run the flat iron, try speading some ANTI-CRESP cream/gel or spray you find in india.

Maybe, you could go to a hairdresser and get it chemically straightened. It stays straight. But it can be bad for your hair. :)
u shud use olive oil on your hair, this oil is light, but costly, it is good for hair
