How do I completely straighten the ends of my hair with a flat iron?

My hair is very flippy at the ends, and whenever I straighten it I can't get the ends to be straight, they always flip out or in. I just got a haircut with defined angles, but you can't tell because the longer pieces flip out so much that they appear to be the same length as all the rest of my hair. My friend managed to do it once, so I know it is possible. Please help! How do I completely straighten the ends of my hair with a flat iron?
It's hard to say without knowing how long your hair is, but if it is hitting your shoulders or collar bone, it will flip out no matter how much you straighten it. Please do no take the advice of the first responder, holding the flat iron on it will only burn your hair, no matter how much protectant you put on it. You may need to have it cut above those areas. You can also try blowing drying it with a round brush so it curls under and then go in with the straightener and pull it straight down. Use a light hold aerosal hair spray to lightly spray the ends when you are done. Don't spray them before you flat iron because, again, you will burn your hair. How do I completely straighten the ends of my hair with a flat iron?
My hair is also like that. Try to just hold your straitner on the ends for a little longer. But make sure you use heat protecter. Becuase that gives more protection. expecially cuz it holds down so more time to brun it.
when your flat iron reaches your ends start to gently flinder just a little bit so they lay flat.
