Can a chi flat iron really straighten MY hair? I'm half black and half white. (pics provided)?

So I'm hearing all these amazing thing about the CHI. that it even straightens black natural hair. Well, my hair isnt relaxed but I like it straight, so i get it pressed every weeks professionally. But i feel like need to be more independent with my hair, plus I have to save money. I would like to do it myself, but still have it look as nice when i go to a salon with my hair.

So will my hair still look the same if i get a CHI. are there any other flat irons that will help me achieve this pressed look?

I am a hairdresser..Ask your stylist to give you a lesson on how to do it yourself..I also have good professional I rons for sale in my salon. Get a good hair protector...and make sure that there is no dampmess in your hair..steam boils your hair and will ruin it.Can a chi flat iron really straighten MY hair? I'm half black and half white. Yah. Chi works really well on ur kind of hair.
Oh yeah. Chi is one of the best. Another one that is a little cheaper is InfraShine.

Yes, the Chi will help you. I know from personal experience. I am white and have thick, frizzy hair. I got one, and I'm just amazed. I may not be an expert but I know that it works really well. Remember to get your hair cut every 6-8 weeks to get rid of split ends.

it comes with a cream also, and i would use it before straightening you hair.


another tip: try a heat protector spray. the CHI's temperature goes up to 400 degrees farenheit, and that can ALSO work wonders on your hair (just now in a good way lol)
My best friend is Black, she uses the Chi every single day! She said it is just wanderful and she reccomends it to people a lot. She even got this BOY to ask for one for his birthday and he got one. He likes it a lot as well.

My daughter and I have been straightening our hair for the last couple years. We have gone thru several different brands of straighteners. Cheap ones, expensive ones. We had heard about the chi and my daughter was determined to get one even though I didn't want to spend that much money on one. So she bought it herself. Of course I had to try it. WOW! It works so much better than any other brand we've tried!! My hair is straight and smooth and looks so shiny!

I own a CHI and to tell you the truth have never used a better straightner. CHI works on all types of hair. I've read reviews, asked many people how they like it and i haven't heard anything bad. My hair is fine and brittle it used to break easily and i had the worst split ends from my old straightner. After I got the CHI, my hair became so much healthier. I barely have split ends, just the occasional ones.. but i get my hair trimmed. Honestly it would work on your hair, and it works faster than other straightners, it gets hot in like 5 seconds and you don't have to slowly slide it down your hair, its quick and easy ... just a swipe and your hair should be straighter.

The CHI is an excellent hair straightener, but from my experience it does not leave lasting results. My friend has hair like yours (same racial background as well) and she straightens it in the morning on to have the roots start kinking up again at noon.





I would suggest the GHD straightener. It's a little pricier but the results are phenomenal. My friend has started using it and it keeps the straightness for a few days.

Make sure you don't straighten damp hair and always use a straightening balm. CHI makes one that is really good and will protect your hair. When you get your hair straightener, make an appointment with your hairdresser and have them show you how to get the best results.

it would work on your hair. i have one and i use it on hair that looks similar to yours. i am a stylist and i haven't had anyone in my chair that i couldn't straighten with a chi iron. just make sure you use a thermal protector before straightening (get it at your salon) so you won't fry your hair. also, make sure to get it from the scalp to the ends. use a brush to ';hold'; the hair strand you are straightening so it smooths out the hair while straightening. hope this helps. its worth the investment especially if you're having it done every week anyway. you'll save lots of money in the long run. good luck!

CHIs generally work very well, so i don't think would be a problem with your hair. or maybe consider getting a TIGI flat iron; i was waiting in the salon and i saw a hairdresser using that on someone with your type of hair. it turned out like the second picture.

It works wonders!!! My hair is very long(mid back) really think and very curly and it does the job. I was with my cuz (who is half black) and she was trying to deside wat one to get i told her to get the CHI and that it worked wonders on my hair and her words were if it works on your hair there will be no problem with mine. later that night we used it and it looked better then shee had hoped.
