I used to dye, chemically straighten, and flat iron hair a lot, now it's shoulder length and i haven't got it past there for the last 3 years. I'm mixed with a lot of nationalities. Since the beginning of 09 i've straightened it about four times for special occasions. I wash my hair every other to every three days because my last hair sytlist said i can't wash it daily or it will eliminate the natural oils in my hair to keep it healthy. and it still hasn't grown. any tips?How can I help my hair grow?
Sounds like you have breakage; our hair always grows. It's your ends. Retaining length is tricky but can be done with consistency and a regular hair-care routine. Try this for 3 months to see the results you want: *Change your shampoo and conditioners. Hair products with natural ingredients perform better than chemicals. Read the back of some labels at the beauty supply or just get Cream of Nature moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Also get a deep conditioner or cholesterol(Lekair or Elasta QP DPR-11 for re- moisturizing); with a balance of moisture and protein your hair won't break and will retain length. Too much of either causes breakage. Wash your hair twice a week and deep condition every 2 weeks with the cholesterol under a plastic cap with heat from a hot towel or bonnet dryer(15 minutes). Rinse and towel dry. Get some Frizz Buster(Fantasia) since it has proteins and Biotin and section your hair and rub some of this in. Get a scalp stimulator in a spray bottle(I make my own) from the beauty supply as well. Spray your scalp in sections and massage in. Get some Infusium 23 leave in conditioner(moisturizing) and massage it in then rub in some Wave Nouveau finishing lotion(moisturizing), lastly you seal your ends to seal in moisture with olive oil or shea butter; just apply it to your ends in sections with your finger tips. Wait over night before styling your hair with a dryer but you can braid it right away if you like. You will only do all this when you deep condition. Moisturize daily with the Wave Nouveau. Well for one try using Mane N' Tail Horse Shampoo. I use it all the time and it makes your hair grow faster. You can find it at walmart in the pet section. also you should drink plenty of water to condition your hair and when shampooing and conditioning you should use cold or
luke warm water on your hair so it won't damage it. Even hot water hurts your hair.
