Recently, I went to a salon to go get my hair straightened with chemicals and all that... Big mistake. My hair is back to the way it was before, and so sensitive that I can barely touch it without it all falling out... I exagurate, but still, its sensitive.. using a flat iron to straighten it would either fry it or pull it out.. I was given shampoo and conditioner to make it strong again, but how long would it take for it to be strong enough to use a flat iron again? When can I use a flat iron again?
Usually after a really damaging chemical treatment that went wrong like that, its best to leave it for 4-6 weeks. Try your best not to put heat on it. If you can help it, don't blow dry it, and if you have to put heat on it, use a heat protector. Make sure you only use salon products from now on as well. When can I use a flat iron again?
Where ever you went should have known better. Sounds like you have a chemical burn on your scalp, and your hair is hydrolyzed. If your hair feels like mush and breaks off when you run your hands through it then do not put a straightener or any heat. no matter what they gave you to repair your hair if it hydrolyzed there is nothing you can do except cut it off. I would definitely go back to the salon and ask to speak to the manager and/or owner and have them look at your hair, get your money back also. good luck!
Oh my that really stinks. Don't use one for over a good month. Try lose pony tails or buns till your hair is healthier. Wash it every other day so you can have some natural oils to help the healing. Wait a while but get a good scrunching gel and scrunch your hair to create lose curls, but don't over product your hair. Go online and find a good shampoo that helps straighten in the future so you don't over heat your hair. Make sure you use heat protectint.
Best of luck.
try to do a small section of hair.. if it falls out.. your hair will have to be cut off and start anew
but if it takes it.. it should be fine
yea i agree with every one else. use salon stuff and don't straighten for like a month or so
a month.
i would wait at least a week to make sure
