Well, your first mistake is to assume it's flatironed.....because it's not...at all, anywhere.





From the back of the ears to the back is cut shorter.





For the rest of the front.


After you get out of the shower and towel dry your hair, just take a dab of gel and rub it in your hands. Run your hands through the longer part up front and not in the back. Then just tussle the hair and it usually just falls how it is..........or just move the hair to where you want it to lay. After you have it styled....spray hair spray on it it to lock it in. Okay, let's be serious for a moment! How do you think it's done? Flat Iron, Ironing Board? Towel on a surface that heat won't damage?
It depends, if you actually have a hair straightener you just plug it in and it heats up, and then you clamp your hair in it by your roots (as close to your scalp as possible w/o burning yourself) and then slide it down slow-ish to straighten. you might have to go over it a few times. if you're using an actual iron, put a towel under your hair and... iron it haha.
