Hair gets wavy again very quick (after straightening with flat iron)...?

I've tried straightening my hair with a straightening iron (revlon) and it never goes pin straight!


After I finally manage to partially straighten my hair, I walk to school, by the time I get there, it's all wavy again!


I straighten after washing my hair (I use tresemme silk volumizing shampoo %26amp; conditioner), when it's partially dry. I use temperature 15 (I have till 25 though).


What is the recommended temperature?


How many strokes should I give my hair with the strightener (my hair isnt super-wavy or curly, but it is a little crazy)


And should i be using any particular hair products? (I have a styling mousse %26amp; a strong hold gel and a medium hold gel- I dont use them, should i be using them?)

Sometimes it helps if you go around wearing your hair in a ponytail, and keeping it like that when you sleep. Thats what I did.Hair gets wavy again very quick (after straightening with flat iron)...?

use a higher heat setting and like try a different brand of strightener because revlon isnt very good.
