Hello everyone, I Have short, brown, very thick hair and if i let it air dry it is almost an Afro. I usually use a flat iron to straighten it and flip it out, but it looks like i put to much effort into it and it takes forever. I am looking for a quick way to keep my hair from poofing out and looking kinda straight while at the same time a bit of curlyness and flipped. I have tried diffusing and everything please help.
ThanksHow do I get kinda straight, curlyish hair with a flip with no flat iron.?
Take a shower at night and let it dry with a loose pony tail tied not on your head but like an inch above where you hair ends. Just have your hair down and grab it without brushing it up or anything (low pony). This will make the hair dry straighter but give it the flip. Or blow dry while using a round brush. How do I get kinda straight, curlyish hair with a flip with no flat iron.?
just flip it, flap it, and flop it, and it'll look perfect! : )
Blow dry it. every little while stop and brush or brush while blow drying! =]
Only other way I can think of is blow dry with a round brush. Or blow dry (instead of just air dry), and then flat iron.
if it is for conviencience sake and u dont mind a little bit of cash and a little bit of a salon visit here and there u might want to look at having it chemically straightened or thermally straightened that way u can let it air dry and until it grows out the hair will stay pretty straight :) (great for swimming etc too!)
use anti frizz shampoo it works
I'm sorry but you will need a flat iron. But, that doesn't mean it has to be time consuming. Is it the time you are worried about or is it just adding that extra heat to your hair that you don't want to use a flat iron? If you use a high quality ceramic flat iron like a CHI or GHD, those are the best on the market. They won't fry your hair and they heat up in under a minute. The Farouk CHI flat iron is one of the best on the market. I bought mine from www.zystal.com. They have fast shipping and quality customer service. Hope this helps.
