I have very Curly Hair which I straighten with a flat Iron. How Can I Keep it straighter for Longer?

My hair is frizzy within the hour that I straighten it. If any humidity, steam, or water hits my hair or if I sweat my hair is instantly puffy. How Can I get it straighter and keep it straight longer without chemically processing my hair? Even when I straighten it its never as straight as I would like it to be, its usually still slightly puffy. I really dont want to put a relaxer in it because I like the option of wearing it curly as well.... any suggestions.

I realize that yes I have curly hair and its never gonan be as straight as chemically processed hair. But I know there are some tricks for keepin the fuzzy , puffiness out.

Please do not use hairspray because it will just dry out your hair and it does not matter what shampoo you use. I use a natural mosturizer and conditionar. It has no alcohal in it. You have to buy them online. Also, I have heard that the spray from the maxi glid website is really good with keeping hair straight. On that website they sell a good flat iron that has bristles on the iron part so when you pull it through its like your combing it. Also, I use small flat irons and they work great. To get it straighter you have to keep it on your hair a little longer. I have long think hair and I can get my hair silky straight just by keeing the iron on my hair longer. It takes time put it works. Hope this helps.I have very Curly Hair which I straighten with a flat Iron. How Can I Keep it straighter for Longer?

there are spray that you use after u straighten and it should keep are use a shampoo that help against humanity
i think you should get a ghd straightener because they are simply the best and use some hair care products like a spray that you use when straightening hair. also try using that sunsilk straight haiir shampoo.

hope this helps =)
blow dry your hair with a big rounded brush and that will straiten the curls out and if you want it pin/really straight then do a flat iron after. its kinda damaageing if you do it all the time though
You could ask your Hairdresser about getting a perm. It works for most people. I had it, but it didnt last long. Its because my hair was mostly natural, but it didnt harm my hair at all. If anything, it helped - my hair wasnt as greasy, and styling from hot irons and curlers stayed in much longer. My hair wasnt too dry either. Perms are safe, as long as you know which kind and where you're getting it from, but people all react differently to them depending on your type of hair. Hope this helps! :)
Keep it curly!

Curtly hair is definitely in right now, and im assuming its Summer where you are (its winter here in Australia) so why bother straightening your hair when its hot and humid anyways, and you'll be swimming.

Just keep it curly and buy a balm or treatment to stop frizz. Also, dont wash your hair more than 4 times a week, or it'll dry out and get more frizzy than ever.

xx
hey......i hav the same type of hair..so yry to apply misture of banana and egg properly mixed in semi paste form and keep it for half an hour and then shampoo..............i tried it..it really worked wonders for me.........TRY IT!
My hair is really curly too so what I do is, I use the CHI flatiron ( amazing ) and i use its shampoo and conditioner which works really well with the CHI flatiron. The shampoo and conditioner helps keep your hair straight for a loooong time. Trust me on that 1! Another good thing about the shampoo is that it makes your hair more easier to comb and manageable. Definitely try it.
